Hello, I am Takura Mukaro! I am a Software Engineer with a passion for developing evidence-based solutions to industry gaps. My 2+ years of professional experience have transitioned me from a developer who applies existing knowledge to a candidate who seeks to develop innovative solutions. I am actively seeking opportunities that will allow me to pursue a Master's degree while contributing to challenging industry projects.
Professional Experience
As a Software Engineer at AfriSight, I played a key role in migrating their legacy system to a modern microservices architecture using Docker and DigitalOcean. I also optimized their PostgreSQL database for analytics and implemented RESTful APIs with automated testing. My work included enhancing security by implementing phishing detection and encryption features to ensure data compliance.
In my freelance work, I have developed a scalable payment gateway for Tango Africa, integrating multiple payment providers. I have also built an AI-powered chatbot using the OpenAI GPT API and WhatsApp, and configured auto-scaling infrastructure on DigitalOcean for high availability.
